Mission

To promote human innovation in advancing social justice advocacy and education; medical and scientific research around diseases of poverty; improvements in community, health, and social services delivery; and humanistic efforts in support of marginalized and vulnerable populations.

Vision

The Humanitas Foundation will be an international force promoting and supporting innovation as a means of advancing social justice advocacy and education; medical and scientific research around diseases of poverty; improvements in community, health, and social services delivery; and the humanistic efforts in support of marginalized and vulnerable populations.

Commitment

In fulfillment of its mission and vision, the Humanitas Foundation undertakes the following commitments:

• Encouraging professional and academic excellence in the fields of advocacy and education, medicine and science, service delivery, and the humanities
• Confronting spiritual, economic, and physical impoverishment (characterized by the general malaise of human hopelessness) with the message of hope
• Enabling communities throughout the world and, indeed, the world community to effectively secure justice in healing and the ability to make positive life choices
• Fostering improved North-South and South-South understanding and collaboration among individuals, corporate entities, government and nongovernmental agencies, and communities of faith to bring about a more inclusive society
• Facilitating the collaboration of national, regional, and international institutions that have a similar commitment to the primary tenets promoted and advanced by the Humanitas Foundation
